Three-weight world champion Jorge Linares is all set to face Jack Catterall on the 21st of October this year.

Three-weight world champion Jorge Linares has officially locked horns to fight Super-Lightweight World Title challenger Jack Catterall in Liverpool on the 21st of October this year.

The highly anticipated and thrilling fight has been scheduled to take place at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena.

Jack Catterall (27-1, 13 KOs) could headline at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England with the three-weight world champion, Jorge Linares (47-8, 29 KOs) a potential opponent.

The 30-year-old recently inked a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing after Ben Shalom’s BOXXER invalidated their contract with Catterall.

Catterall made his Matchroom debut at the end of May, scoring two knockdowns in a wide decision win over Australian-based Irishmen Darragh Foley.

Linares is a strong possibility to be in the opposite corner of Jack Catterall – a fight that most boxing fans are not too happy with.

The Venezuelan is 3-0 on British soil and 4-0 against Brits/Matchroom fighters including Luke Campbell, Anthony Crolla x2 and Kevin Mitchell.

Linares at 37 is, however, coming off three consecutive defeats and has not recorded a win in well over three years.

The veteran has only boxed once at the 140-pound limit and was stopped inside the opening round by little-known Pablo Cesar Cano.
