Top women’s track athletes from around the world will compete for record-breaking prizes as the inaugural Athlos NYC kicks off on Thursday.
American Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas and Kenyan 1,500m world record holder Faith Kipyegon headline the lineup at this groundbreaking women-only track invitational.
The event, launched by Alexis Ohanian—Reddit co-founder and husband of tennis legend Serena Williams—features an unprecedented prize pool of $500,000 (£374,000), the largest ever for a women's track meet.
