The Golf Organizers allowed the LIV Golf players to play the 150th Open Championship

Earlier in the month of April the PGA Tour has banned, those who were involved in the inaugural event of Saudi-backed LIV Golf series.

Later golf organizers of US Open and the governing body decided and announced that the players who have signed up to the breakaway Saudi-backed LIV Golf series will be allowed to compete in next month's 150th Open Championship.

This year's major event, the US Open will start on 14th July, at St Andrews in Scotland.

R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers said that "Players who are exempt or have earned a place through qualifying for the 150th Open in accordance with the entry terms and conditions will be able to compete in the championship at St Andrews."

"We are focused on staging a world-class championship in July and celebrating this truly historic occasion for golf."
