Teenaged Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh clinched the World Chess Armageddon Asia & Oceania event title.

Teenaged Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh displayed a sensational performance to claim the World Chess Armageddon Asia & Oceania event title after cruising past former world rapid champion Nodirbek Abdusattorov of Uzbekistan in Berlin.

In the final of the event, Gukesh got the better of Nodirbek Abdusattorov. Both Gukesh and Abdusattorov have earned a spot at Armageddon's Grand Finale in September.

After an impressive check from GM Gukesh, the first game of the 'new' match was a draw between the two. But later Gukesh displayed a magnificent performance to win the next game and claim the title.
