Spain's Carlos Alcaraz secured a straight-set victory over American Taylor Fritz, leading Team Europe to a 13-11 win at the Laver Cup in Berlin.
Team World led 11-7 heading into the penultimate match of the first-to-13 Laver Cup. However, Alexander Zverev's comeback win over Frances Tiafoe brought Team Europe within one point.
Carlos Alcaraz then completed the comeback with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Taylor Fritz, securing a 13-11 win for Team Europe.
Despite earlier criticizing the tight tennis schedule, Alcaraz expressed his joy, saying, "We came here with one goal: to win the Laver Cup."
Earlier, World took an early lead with Francisco Ceralundo's win, but Europe fought back to even the score by day’s end.
