Joe Allen is poised to reverse his international retirement and join Wales' squad for this month's Nations League matches against Iceland and Montenegro.
The 34-year-old Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen announced his retirement from international football in February 2023, after playing in two European Championships and a World Cup.
However, due to injuries to midfielders Ethan Ampadu and Aaron Ramsey, Allen is expected to return to the Wales squad when it is announced on Wednesday morning.
Injuries have restricted Allen to only substitute appearances for Swansea this season, but with Wales struggling for depth in central midfield, head coach Craig Bellamy is likely to call on the former Liverpool player.
