England's bold 'Bazball' strategy is earning praise, with the Ben Stokes-led team prioritizing results over survival. Stuart Broad, a former player, believes this approach is pushing cricket forward.
England pulled off a thrilling 28-run victory over India in the first Test, despite trailing by 190 runs after the first innings. In the second match, despite their efforts, they fell short by 106 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah's brilliant bowling performance dismantled the visitors. "I'm a fan of Bazball. This strategy can succeed anywhere. England's performance in Hyderabad was impressive," Stuart Broad told IANS.
"We had a great 3-0 win in Pakistan and showed our strength in New Zealand too. Bazball is really changing cricket for the better, and it's so thrilling to see.
I was impressed by how England defeated India in Hyderabad and how West Indies stunned Australia at the Gabba. Test cricket was truly at its peak," Stuart Broad added with enthusiasm.
Broad also shared his thoughts on Virat Kohli's absence from the series. "It's unfortunate for the series that he's not playing. He's a top-notch player, but family always comes first. India managed to win the last Test. This creates a significant opportunity for young players to showcase their talent in his absence."
