Strategy Seeks to Elevate Cricket to Premier Sport Status in Ireland.

Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom is confident that the new strategic plan will enhance the sport's visibility in Ireland and establish it as a significant player globally.

The 2024-2027 plan includes constructing a new national stadium in Dublin, boosting inter-provincial cricket, and increasing overall participation.

Warren Deutrom said, "This plan sets us on the path to making cricket a major sport in Ireland and a prominent nation in the game."

He added, "We’ve made great strides, and now we aim to make cricket a sport that welcomes and unites everyone—players, fans, and the community—to achieve top performance and inspire a love for the game throughout Ireland."

Ireland is also preparing to co-host the T20 Men’s World Cup in six years and to broaden access to the sport.
