Will Courtenay, Red Bull's head of race strategy, has chosen to leave the team after 14 years and will take on the role of sporting director at McLaren.
Courtenay's departure makes him the third senior member of Red Bull management to leave in the last five months, as McLaren undergoes a restructuring.
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella commented, “Will’s experience, professionalism, and passion for motorsport make him the perfect fit to lead our sporting function.
“As we enter a crucial phase in our journey, we believe he will be a valuable addition to our leadership team as we aim to compete for wins and championships.”
