Stockport assistant coach Andy Mangan's transfer to Real Madrid has been blocked due to a rejected work permit.
Former Tranmere and Shrewsbury striker Andy Mangan was close to joining La Liga champions Real Madrid to work with Carlo Ancelotti.
However, his work permit application, which could have taken up to nine months, was rejected by the Spanish government, putting the move on hold.
Mangan had previously collaborated with Davide Ancelotti, Carlo's son, while pursuing his UEFA coaching badges.
