Stanley Cup 2022: Colorado Avalanche clinched the first title since 2001.

The Colorado Avalanche are back on the race in hockey's mountain after smashing away the two-time defending champions, Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Colorado Avalanche defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning by 2-1 in Game 6, in the final of Stanley Cup 2022. The champions, Avalanche won the Stanley Cup for the third time in franchise history which is their first title win after more than two decades.

The team work for the Colorado was fabulous. Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal and an assist and Darcy Kuemper made 22 saves.

After winning the title, Colorado's Cale Makar was named as the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the Most Valuable Player of the NHL play-offs. He scored 8 goals and 21 assists.
