Spain women's players appealed for termination of coach, Jorge Vilda.

Spanish Federation (RFEF) reported that fifteen players from the Spain women's squad have threatened to quit the squad if their present coach, Jorge Vilda is not sacked.

The RFEF revealed that they have received 15 emails from 15 players of the women's senior soccer team stating the current situation of the team, their emotional state and about their health. As well as they demanded termination of their coach through these mails.

According to sources close to the situation, the players are unhappy with the management of injuries, the atmosphere in the locker room, Vilda's team selection and his training sessions.

The Federation responded with a strongly worded statement that they will not allow the players to question the continuity of the national coach and his coaching staff, since making those decisions does not fall within their powers.
