Spain will face France in the men’s Olympic football final after a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Morocco. Trailing 1-0, Spain rallied with two late goals to secure their spot in the final, setting up an exciting showdown against the host nation.

In a dramatic semi-final clash, Spain came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Morocco, setting up a showdown with France in the men’s Olympic football final.

Tournament top scorer Soufiane Rahimi gave Morocco the lead with a penalty in the first half, his sixth goal of the Games.

Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez leveled the score in the second half, seizing a loose ball in the penalty area. With the match on the line, substitute Juanlu Sanchez fired in the winning goal just five minutes from the end.

Spain's win sends them to the final in Paris on Friday (20:00 BST), where they'll face Thierry Henry's France, who edged Egypt 3-1 in extra time in the other semi-final.

Morocco will now face Egypt in the bronze medal match in Nantes on Thursday.
