Somerset pulled off a remarkable T20 Finals Day comeback, bouncing back from 7-3 to comfortably defeat Surrey by six wickets, securing their third final spot in four years.
Just two days after Somerset’s dramatic County Championship win over Surrey, it seemed Surrey might get their revenge.
Defending 153-9, Surrey quickly removed Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Abell, and Will Smeed in just 13 balls.
However, James Rew and Sean Dickson struck half-centuries, setting a record Finals Day partnership of 144 for the fourth wicket. Somerset secured their place in a seventh final with eight balls to spare.
If Somerset can win the final, they'll become the first county to defend the T20 title, having previously won it in 2005 and again 14 months ago.
