Jannik Sinner announced that he has parted ways with physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi and fitness trainer Umberto Ferrara after an investigation into his positive tests for a banned substance.
The world number one twice tested positive for clostebol, a muscle-building steroid, in March.
Last week, a tribunal cleared the Italian of any fault or negligence, with the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) concluding that Sinner was accidentally contaminated by Naldi.
Naldi had used an over-the-counter spray—provided by Ferrara—on a cut on his own hand before treating Sinner.
"I want to start by saying they were a huge part of my career," Sinner said at a US Open press conference. "We achieved incredible success together, but due to these mistakes, I no longer feel confident continuing with them."
