Sinner Admits to Being 'Physically and Mentally Worn Down' by Investigation.

Jannik Sinner has been "physically and mentally worn down" by the investigation into his positive tests for a banned substance, according to his coach, Darren Cahill.

In March, Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner tested positive twice for clostebol, a muscle-building steroid, but an independent tribunal cleared him of fault or negligence last week.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) determined that Sinner was unknowingly contaminated by the substance through his physiotherapist, Giacomo Naldi.

Since learning of the doping investigation in early April, Sinner has won tournaments in Halle and Cincinnati and reached the world number one spot for the first time in his career.

"If you're not a Jannik fan, you might not see much difference in his performance over the past few months—he’s continued to play impressively," Cahill told ESPN’s Chris McKendry.
