Shaila-Ann Rao part ways with Formula 1's governing body less than six months after joining.

The FIA has officially announced the departure of Shaila-Ann Rao, the interim Secretary General for Motor Sport just less than six months after joining.

Shaila-Ann Rao was appointed to the position following the departure of Peter Bayer in June, having previously worked directly alongside Toto Wolff as a legal advisor for Mercedes.

She immediately found herself at the center of Red Bull’s F1 cost cap controversy after the team were penalized for breaching the $145m spending limit for 2021.
