Scotland star Blair Kinghorn has confirmed to join Toulouse in December.

Blair Kinghorn is preparing for an emotional last home outing as an Edinburgh player against Benetton on Friday after it was confirmed that the Scotland full-back will join Toulouse after next weekend's trip to Ulster.

The 26-year-old arrives from Scottish outfit Edinburgh on a three-year deal after it was announced that France's Jaminet would leave Toulouse for league rivals Toulon over the coming weeks.

Kinghorn can also feature on the wing and at fly-half, helping Ugo Mola to deal with a lack of depth in the number 10 shirt.

Blair Kinghorn will feature in Friday's United Rugby Championship game against Benetton with the French club paying a six-figure fee to buy his contract.

Kinghorn, who has scored 128 points in 50 appearances for Scotland has signed a three-year contract with his new club.

“This has been a really tough decision,” said Kinghorn.

“Joining Toulouse is an opportunity that’s come forward that I think will be good for me as a person, and to develop my career and my game. It’s a big decision, but I feel like it’s the right move for me.

“I’m really grateful to Edinburgh, for seeing this as great opportunity for me to develop personally and as a rugby player, but it is still going to be a sad day.”

Kinghorn has been with Edinburgh since his professional rugby debut in 2015 and also represented Scotland at the Sevens, Under 20 and A levels before making his Test debut in 2018.

Toulouse are positioned seventh in the Top 14 table with four wins from seven matches.
