Scarlets' James Joins Wales Summer Squad Roster.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has added uncapped Scarlets center Eddie James to his squad for the upcoming summer matches against South Africa and Australia.

Adding 21-year-old Eddie James to the squad brings the total to 37 players, with five of them uncapped.

James, along with players like Mason Grady and Ben Thomas from Cardiff, Nick Tompkins from Saracens, and Owen Watkin from Ospreys, is in contention for a midfield position.

Initially, Gatland also picked Gloucester's Josh Hathaway among the uncapped players for the matches against South Africa and Australia.

Other uncapped players in the training squad include Ospreys' Keelan Giles and Cardiff's Jacob Beetham and Ellis Bevan.

The upcoming match against South Africa on 22 June at Twickenham will see some players unavailable due to scheduling outside the Test window.

Surprise inclusions in the squad are veteran full-back Liam Williams and lock Cory Hill, who is based in Japan.

Before the two-Test tour of Australia in July, the squad will be trimmed down to 34 players.
