Sabalenka Seeks Joyful Moments at the US Open.

Aryna Sabalenka is focusing on finding "things which bring joy" as she looks to cap a tough year with her first US Open title.

The world number two began the year strongly by defending her Australian Open title in January.

However, in March, her former boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov passed away in what Sabalenka described as an "unthinkable tragedy." Although she chose to keep competing, she later felt she should have taken a break.

Sabalenka faced a stomach issue during her French Open quarter-final loss and withdrew from Wimbledon due to a shoulder injury. After a month of recovery, she made a comeback in early August and won the Cincinnati Open last week.
