Rome Welcomes Penultimate Diamond League Event - Watch Live on BBC.

The Diamond League season heads to Rome on Friday for the penultimate event, with just one more meet before the final in September.

On September 5, Zurich will be the last chance for athletes to secure points and qualify for the Diamond League final in Brussels, set for September 13-14.

Each of the 32 champions in Brussels will win a Diamond Trophy and £24,000 in prize money.

Catch the action from Rome on BBC Two from 20:00 to 21:00 BST and BBC Three from 21:00 to 22:00 on Friday, or watch online via the BBC Sport website and app.

British athlete Daryll Neita will compete in Rome, the 13th meet of the 2024 series, which began in Xiamen, China, in April.

Last week, Jakob Ingebrigtsen shattered the 3,000m world record by over three seconds, and Armand Duplantis set a new pole vault world record at the Silesia Diamond League.
