American world champion Sha'Carri Richardson avenged her Olympic loss to St Lucia’s Julien Alfred with a win in the women’s 100m final at the Diamond League meeting in Zurich.
Julien Alfred, who won gold in Paris and became St Lucia’s first Olympic medallist, had previously defeated Sha'Carri Richardson.
However, Richardson turned the tables with a victory in the women’s 100m final at the Diamond League in Zurich, clocking 10.84 seconds. Dina Asher-Smith of Britain finished third, while Daryll Neita was seventh.
In the men’s 200m, Botswana’s Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo continued his impressive form, winning in 19.55 seconds.
Americans Kenneth Bednarek and Erriyon Knighton took second and third, respectively.
The men’s 1500m final was a thrilling contest, with Olympic bronze medallist Yared Nuguse edging out Jakob Ingebrigtsen for the win. Olympic champion Cole Hocker finished third.
