Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah's impressive early-season form shows the importance of giving footballers enough rest, according to players' union chief Maheta Molango.
In the first three Premier League matches of the 2024-25 season, Erling Haaland scored seven goals for Manchester City, while Mohamed Salah contributed three goals and three assists for Liverpool.
Neither player participated in post-season tournaments, and both were highlighted by PFA chief Maheta Molango in a new player workload report from Fifpro, covering 1,500 footballers.
Molango emphasized the impact of rest, saying, "Players who get proper holidays show a big difference.
Haaland is back to his best, like when he first arrived in England, and Salah is at his peak performance."
This report was released amid ongoing concerns about the crowded football calendar and legal action against FIFA by organizations like the PFA and Fifpro.
