Louis Rees-Zammit has been grateful for the guidance he's received from quarterback Patrick Mahomes as he makes his switch from rugby union to American football with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wales rugby player Rees-Zammit joined the Super Bowl champions in March through the international player pathway (IPP).
At the Chiefs' rookie minicamp, the 23-year-old has been learning the ropes of running back after training with Mahomes in Texas.
"It was amazing," he said of the experience. "We were running routes, working in the gym, and I learned a lot from Pat and the other boys."
Describing Mahomes as an extra coach, Rees-Zammit emphasized his eagerness to absorb knowledge and learn the game quickly.
"I'm trying to pick everyone's brains and pick up the sport as fast as possible," he said, highlighting his determination to get on the field and contribute.
