Real Madrid's Camavinga Sidelined from Super Cup Due to Knee Injury.

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will miss Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta and the start of the season due to a knee injury.

France's 21-year-old midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, twisted his knee during training at Warsaw's National Stadium on Tuesday.

The injury occurred when he caught his studs in the ground and collided with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.

Scans later revealed a sprained collateral ligament in his left knee, according to Real Madrid on Wednesday. Although the club did not specify his recovery time, reports suggest he could be sidelined for up to seven weeks.

Last season, Camavinga was crucial in Real Madrid's success, playing 46 matches as they secured both the La Liga title and the Champions League.

Real Madrid is set to face 2024 Europa League winners Atalanta in the Super Cup, with Kylian Mbappe expected to make his debut after joining from Paris Saint-Germain.
