Spain's Jon Rahm clinched the 2024 LIV Golf Individual Championship with a standout victory in Chicago, marking a major milestone in his career.
Jon Rahm secured the 2024 LIV Golf Individual Championship with a final-round 66, finishing 11 under par and three shots ahead of fellow Spaniard Sergio Garcia and title rival Joaquin Niemann.
The 29-year-old’s win in Chicago, his second victory in three LIV events, earned him enough points to claim the $18 million (£13.7 million) individual prize.
Niemann, who had also won two events this year, was the only player who could challenge Rahm for the title. Despite leading after the first round, Niemann fell behind after a 68 on Saturday.
Rahm's impressive birdie on the par-3 17th helped him maintain his lead and secure victory at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
In addition to his two wins, Rahm earned $16.7 million (£12.75 million) in individual earnings during his debut LIV season.
