Raducanu Set for First-Round Showdown Against Kenin at US Open.

Emma Raducanu will go up against fellow Grand Slam champion Sofia Kenin in her first US Open match in two years.

Emma Raducanu made headlines by winning the US Open as a teenage qualifier in 2021, becoming the first British woman in 44 years to claim a major singles title.

After a first-round exit in 2022 and missing last year's tournament due to wrist and ankle surgery, the 21-year-old is back with a challenging first-round match against American Sofia Kenin.

Kenin, who won the Australian Open in 2020 and reached the French Open final the same year, promises a tough opponent for Raducanu.

Katie Boulter, Britain’s top female player and 31st seed, will face a yet-to-be-determined qualifier in her opening match, while Harriet Dart takes on France's Chloe Paquet.

In the men's draw, Jack Draper will play against China’s Zhang Zhizhen, with a potential third-round clash against Carlos Alcaraz.

Dan Evans, the other British man in the main draw, will go up against 23rd seed Karen Khachanov of Russia.

Jan Choinski has made it to the main draw for the first time, securing his spot with a hard-fought 6-0, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (12-10) victory over American Maxime Cressy.
