Italy's Francesco Bagnaia kicked off his MotoGP title defense in style, clinching victory in the opening race of the season held in Qatar.
27 years old, Italy's Francesco Bagnaia showcased his prowess by surging to the front on the opening lap from a fifth-place start on the grid.
Behind him, South Africa's Brad Binder secured second place for KTM, with Spain's Jorge Martin claiming the third spot at the challenging Lusail circuit.
Martin, representing Pramac Racing and the pole position holder after a victory in Saturday's sprint race, demonstrated strong performance throughout the weekend.
Reflecting on his win, Bagnaia remarked, "We were aware of our potential. We pushed our limits yesterday, making adjustments to the setup. Today's race presented a whole new challenge, and we adapted accordingly."
Meanwhile, six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez made an impressive debut with Gresini Racing, finishing in fourth position following his switch from Honda.
