Pune Devils’ Batting Coach and Co-Owners Banned for Corruption in Abu Dhabi T10 2021.

Ashar Zaidi, batting coach for the Pune Devils, and co-owners Parag Sanghavi and Krishan Kumar Choudhary have been banned after admitting to corruption during the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 league, according to an ICC statement on Wednesday.

Ashar Zaidi, a former Pakistani all-rounder, has been banned from all cricket activities for five years.

Pune Devils co-owners Parag Sanghavi and Krishan Kumar Choudhary each received two-year bans after admitting to breaches of the Emirates Cricket Board's anti-corruption code. The last 12 months of their bans are suspended.

The bans are retroactive to September 19, 2023, when they were provisionally suspended.

With the suspended period applied, Sanghavi and Choudhary can return to cricket on September 19, 2024, while Zaidi can return on September 19, 2027.

Zaidi, Sanghavi, and Choudhary were among eight charged by the ICC in September 2023, with Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hossain also banned for two years and eligible to return on April 7, 2025.
