Paris St-Germain (PSG) is considering releasing their star forward, Kylian Mbappe, this summer rather than risk losing him for free when his contract expires next year.
Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain he will not be extending his contract, a move that will prompt the club to sell him this summer.
The French sensation signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 giants last summer, making a last-minute U-turn after making up his mind to join Real Madrid.
The current contract expires in the summer of 2024 with the option to extend by a further 12 months, and the France international has a July 31 deadline to inform PSG of his decision to renew. PSG are eager for the forward to pen fresh terms.
Mbappe appeared close to leaving PSG last summer when he reportedly had a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid, before opting to stay in Paris and signing a new contract.
Should PSG decide selling Mbappe is their best option, Real are once again expected to lead the race for his signature as the Spanish giants seek to fill the void left in attack by the departure of Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema to Saudi champions Al Ittihad.
