Pogacar Withdraws from Olympics Due to Severe Fatigue.

Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar has withdrawn from the Olympic Games due to "extreme fatigue," according to the Slovenian Olympic Committee.

Tadej Pogacar secured his third Tour de France victory by winning the final time trial stage of the 3,498 km race on Sunday.

The Olympic Games begin in Paris on Friday, and the 25-year-old was set to compete in the road race on August 3. However, Slovenia's Olympic cycling coach Uros Murn announced, "Unfortunately, Tadej Pogacar has canceled his participation due to extreme fatigue."

Pogacar’s 2024 Tour de France victory, added to his Giro d'Italia win from May, made him the first cyclist since Marco Pantani in 1998 to conquer both of the sport’s biggest races in the same year.
