Tadej Pogacar extended his impressive Tour de France campaign with a fifth stage win, solidifying his lead with just one day left.
The Slovenian star, riding for UAE Team Emirates, surged ahead of defending champion Jonas Vingegaard in the final 500 meters on the Col de la Couillole.
With this latest victory, Pogacar increased his lead over Vingegaard by seven seconds and now holds a commanding five-minute, 14-second lead in the general classification.
Pogacar’s triumph marks him as the first rider to win five stages in a single Tour de France since German sprinter Marcel Kittel did so in 2017.
