Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips is ready to join newly promoted Ipswich Town on a season-long loan.
Kalvin Phillips has struggled to secure a starting spot at Manchester City since his £45m transfer from Leeds two years ago.
After a disappointing loan spell at West Ham last season, where injuries and form issues dashed his hopes of making England's Euro 2024 squad, Phillips is now set for a season-long loan to Ipswich Town.
The deal, which does not include a purchase option, is expected to be finalized by Friday.
Despite Pep Guardiola's praise during pre-season, Phillips remained on the bench during the Community Shield. Several clubs, including Fulham, showed interest before Ipswich secured the move.
