The Paris 2024 Paralympics wrapped up on Sunday with a dazzling closing ceremony, marking the end of an incredible summer of sports in the French capital.
Despite heavy rain, 24 French electronic music artists led a lively closing ceremony at the Stade de France, celebrating with 4,400 athletes from 168 Paralympic delegations.
Paris 2024 chief Tony Estanguet called it a "historic summer" and praised France for rising to the occasion. He said 2024 will be "etched in people's memories."
International Paralympic Committee president Andrew Parsons hailed France for setting a new standard for future Games, noting the nation's passionate fans.
Poppy Maskill and Matt Bush carried the flag for Great Britain as the 11-day event came to a close.
