O'Sullivan Clinches Player of the Year Award.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has just been awarded the title of World Snooker Tour Player of the Year, marking his first win since 2014.

The 48-year-old Ronnie O'Sullivan had a stellar season in 2023-24, clinching five titles including the prestigious UK Championship and Masters tournaments.

Despite a quarter-final exit at the World Championship, O'Sullivan's exceptional performances earned him not only the World Snooker Tour Player of the Year award but also recognition from fans and journalists.

This isn't O'Sullivan's first rodeo with accolades; he previously won the main Player of the Year prize in 2012 and 2014. Overall, it's his third win in this category's current format. He first bagged the Player of the Year title in 1994 when it was managed by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).

O'Sullivan also dominated the award between 2001 and 2008 when it was overseen by the Snooker Writers' Association and then the WPBSA again.

Kyren Wilson, who triumphed at the World Championship, received the Performance of the Year award for his remarkable displays at the Crucible.

Additionally, Luca Brecel, the 2023 winner, was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame, marking his significant contributions to the sport.
