O'Sullivan and Trump Set for Shanghai Masters Semifinal Showdown.

Ronnie O'Sullivan will compete against Judd Trump in the Shanghai Masters semi-finals after defeating Ding Junhui.

Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan, 48, secured a 6-3 win over China's Ding Junhui, with five breaks over 50, including a 131 in the seventh frame.

O'Sullivan will face world number two, Judd Trump, in the semi-finals on Saturday, aiming for his fifth consecutive Shanghai Masters title. Trump advanced by defeating China's Si Jiahui 6-2 in the quarter-finals.

All four semi-finalists are English, with Shaun Murphy and Mark Selby competing in the other semi-final after victories over Zhou Yuelong and Pang Junxu, respectively.

Selby and Murphy's semi-final is on Friday, and O'Sullivan will play Trump on Saturday. The final, set for Sunday, has a prize of £210,000.
