Opera Singer Triumphs in Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Opera Singer held off a late challenge to win the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

Jockey Ryan Moore guided Opera Singer, a filly trained by Aidan O'Brien and sired by the unbeaten American Triple Crown winner Justify, to a thrilling victory in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

With two furlongs to go, Moore moved Opera Singer into a comfortable lead. However, See The Fire, ridden by Oisin Murphy, mounted a strong challenge in the final stages.

Despite this, Opera Singer held firm to secure the win. French Oaks winner Sparkling Plenty finished third, behind the 9-4 victor.

"She's very classy and Ryan just said she was waiting in front," O'Brien told ITV Racing. "To do that in front of a lot of fillies like that, and she fought as well, you'd have to be very impressed with her."
