Novak Djokovic Reflects on 'One of My Worst' Defeats at Australian Open Against Jannik Sinner.

Novak Djokovic recently talked about his loss at the Australian Open, saying it was one of the worst performances in his Grand Slam career. He was defeated by Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals.

Novak Djokovic experienced his first defeat in Melbourne since 2018, ending his 33-match winning streak.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion had hoped to surpass Margaret Court's all-time major triumphs but fell short.

Expressing his disappointment, the 36-year-old Serbian admitted, "It is not a very pleasant feeling playing this way."

Djokovic praised his opponent Jannik Sinner, acknowledging that Sinner outperformed him in every aspect of the game.

Despite the defeat, Djokovic will retain his men's world number one ranking.

Known for his stellar performance last year, winning three of the four major tournaments, Djokovic struggled to maintain the same level at the Australian Open.

Against Italian fourth seed Sinner, he made 54 unforced errors, failed to create a single break point, and described the match as "one of the worst Grand Slam matches I've ever played."

Djokovic congratulated Sinner for his excellent performance, acknowledging that he was outplayed throughout the match.
