Norwich Strike Deal to Transfer Winger Rowe to Marseille.

Norwich have struck a £17 million deal to transfer winger Jonathan Rowe to Marseille. The move marks a significant step in Rowe's career as he joins the French club.

The 21-year-old Jonathan Rowe will join Marseille on loan, with an obligation to buy for £14 million plus £3 million in add-ons. Norwich will also benefit from a sell-on clause.

Marseille had previously seen bids for the England Under-21 international turned down, but Rowe is now set to link up with manager Roberto de Zerbi in France.

Norwich's boss Johannes Hoff Thorup revealed that Rowe opted out of playing in their opening-day loss to Oxford due to Marseille's interest. Rowe had been training with the under-21s and missed Norwich’s Carabao Cup win over Stevenage and their 2-2 Championship draw with Blackburn.

A product of Norwich's academy, Rowe scored 13 goals in 38 appearances last season, helping the Canaries reach the Championship play-off semi-final.
