Northern Ireland Starts Nations League with Dominant 2-0 Win Over Luxembourg.

Northern Ireland kicked off their Nations League campaign with a solid 2-0 win against Luxembourg at Windsor Park in Group C3.

Paddy McNair put Northern Ireland ahead in the 11th minute, scoring from a corner.

Dan Ballard then extended the lead five minutes later by converting George Saville’s low free-kick.

Although Northern Ireland didn’t add more goals in the second half, they were rarely challenged by Luxembourg.

This win is Michael O'Neill’s first in the Nations League and just Northern Ireland’s second in 17 matches in the competition.

It also marks a fourth victory in six games for O'Neill’s developing squad in his second spell as manager.
