Glamorgan clinched the One-Day Cup for the second time in four years, narrowly defeating Somerset by 15 runs in a match reduced from 50 to 20 overs.
Sam Northeast anchored Glamorgan's innings with an impressive 63 not out off 49 balls, supported by Billy Root's 39, helping them set a solid total of 186-7.
Somerset began slowly, but captain Sean Dickson's quickfire 44 off 20 balls sparked hope. However, Glamorgan's bowlers held their composure, limiting Somerset to 171-6.
It was a surprise that play could take place at Trent Bridge after the first day was washed out. Despite another poor weather forecast, the game started on time in front of a sparse crowd. The captains agreed on a shortened format and managed the slippery conditions.
Both teams opted for players not participating in The Hundred, with a youthful Somerset missing six from their T20 Blast final lineup, while Glamorgan chose not to include Mason Crane or Chris Cooke.
