Nigeria Creates AFCON Record By Winning 10-0 against Sao Tome e Principe.

Nigeria have recorded their biggest international victory, beating Sao Tome and Principe by 10-0 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match on Monday.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who scored four goals (9',48',65',84') with three of those coming after the half-time interval.

Nigeria, who surprisingly missed out on a place at this year's World Cup in Qatar, completed their biggest international

victory as Terem Moffi (43',60'), Moses Simon(28'), Peter Etebo (55'), Ademola Lookman (63') and Emmanuel Dennis(90+2') also got on the scoresheet.

Nigeria’s previous record win was a 10-1 victory over Benin, in Lagos on November 28, 1959.

The victory means Nigeria will sit on top of African Cup of Nations qualification group A after winning their opening two games.

They began their campaign with a slightly more modest victory, beating Sierra Leone 2-1 at home.
