Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma secured her first Tour de France Femmes title by fending off last year's champion, Demi Vollering, who won a thrilling final stage.
At 29, Niewiadoma finished fourth on Alpe d'Huez and burst into tears when she realized she had held onto her overall lead by just four seconds.
Pauliena Rooijakkers from the Netherlands took second in the stage, and France's Evita Muzic came in third.
Last year's winner, Demi Vollering from the Netherlands, started the day in eighth place, trailing Niewiadoma by one minute and 15 seconds.
Vollering demonstrated her strength by winning the 149.9km stage from Le Grand-Bornand to Alpe d'Huez, though she had to wait for the final standings.
Niewiadoma, who struggled on the last climb, finished one minute and one second behind Vollering but still secured the overall victory. Rooijakkers finished third overall.
