Hungarian boxer Anna Luca Hamori believes it's unfair that her next opponent, Imane Khelif, is competing in the women's category at the Olympics.
Hamori, 23, is set to face 25-year-old Algerian Imane Khelif in the 66kg quarter-finals on Saturday.
Khelif, along with Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting, has been allowed to compete despite being disqualified from last year's Women's World Championships for failing gender eligibility tests.
The Hungarian Boxing Association has protested Khelif's participation in Paris 2024, and the Hungarian Olympic Committee has requested talks with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) regarding the issue.
In response, Kheireddine Barbari, head of the Algerian delegation, stated that the Algerian Olympic Committee had filed a complaint with the IOC over what they termed an "immoral" campaign against Khelif.
Hamori expressed her views on social media, writing, "In my humble opinion, I don't think it's fair that this contestant can compete in the women's category."
