NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo Guides Milwaukee Bucks to Victory After Coach Change.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points, helping the Milwaukee Bucks win their first game after changing their head coach, Adrian Griffin.

Antetokounmpo got his seventh triple-double of the season with 18 rebounds and 10 assists, leading the Bucks to a 126-116 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite a strong 30-13 record, head coach Adrian Griffin was let go on Tuesday.

The Bucks plan to bring in Doc Rivers as his replacement. Griffin took over from Mike Budenholzer in June after the Bucks were eliminated early in the playoffs last season.

In September, the Bucks made a big trade for Damian Lillard, adding the star point guard to their lineup alongside two-time MVP Antetokounmpo.

Doc Rivers, who was previously with the Philadelphia 76ers, is set to take over as the new head coach.

Rivers was released in May after the 76ers lost in the Conference semi-finals for the third consecutive season under his leadership.

In other NBA games on Wednesday:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points and had 10 assists in three quarters, helping the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 140-114. Victor Wembanyama, last year's top draft pick, led the Spurs with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won 118-107 against the Washington Wizards, joining the Bucks and Thunder with a 31-13 record. Anthony Edwards scored 38 points for the Timberwolves, and Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 27 points, with 15 of them coming in the third quarter.

The Phoenix Suns, after trailing by 16 points in the second quarter, dominated the third quarter against the Dallas Mavericks, outscoring them 43-20. Devin Booker scored 22 of his 46 points in that quarter. The Suns went on to win 132-109, securing their seventh consecutive victory. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 34 points.
