Rafael Nadal continued his Olympic preparations with a convincing straight-set victory over Britain's Cameron Norrie in the second round of the Swedish Open.
Nadal, 38, defeated the fifth seed in Bastad with a 6-4, 6-4 victory, advancing to a quarter-final match against Argentine Mariano Navone.
The Spaniard opted to skip Wimbledon to focus on the upcoming Olympics in Paris this summer, where he will compete in both singles and doubles alongside Carlos Alcaraz.
In his match, Nadal broke Norrie once in the first set to take the lead. Despite receiving medical attention for an arm injury from a fall early in the second set, Nadal faced a break from Norrie, who was improving as the match progressed.
