Muir & Reekie Dominate the Stockholm Diamond League with Spectacular Wins.

British athletes Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie showcased their brilliance at the Stockholm Diamond League, securing impressive victories.

Meanwhile, Sweden's pole vault sensation Armand Duplantis thrilled the home crowd as he narrowly missed setting yet another world record.

Olympic silver medalist Laura Muir, 31, displayed an impressive burst of speed in the final 200 meters, clinching victory in the women's 1500m with a time of 3 minutes and 57.99 seconds.

"I'm thrilled with my performance and excited to see what more I can achieve with a few more months of training before the Olympics," said Muir, who recently ran 3:56.35 to secure fourth place in Eugene.

"My focus is on being in peak form for August. That's when it really counts."

Although not part of the official Diamond League circuit, Jemma Reekie, 26, controlled the women's 800m and secured victory with a time of 1:57.79, setting a solid pace.

Armand Duplantis, the Olympic and world champion from Sweden, aimed to break the men's pole vault world record for the ninth time, energizing the home crowd with his attempts.

Despite winning as the sole athlete over 6.00m, the 24-year-old narrowly missed clearing 6.25m in three attempts.

In other events, British athlete Ben Pattison achieved a season's best of 1:44.44, securing fourth place in the men's 800m.

Elliot Giles came in sixth with a time of 1:45.10, while former 1500m world champion Jake Wightman clocked 1:45.35, marking his steady return to form following a challenging 2023 disrupted by injury.
