Mohammad Azharuddin's Big Statement On Indian Star Players.

“Scoring 50s, 60s Not Really Going To Help”: Azharuddin On Indian Star players.

It's a real tough job for any player to get themselves placed in Team India and to play. Any individual needs to get the big scores to get into the team.

Hanuma Vihari has been part of the Indian Test cricket since 2018. He made his debut against England. The 28-year-old Vihari has played only 15 Tests in the last three-and-half years, scoring 808 runs at an average of 35.13.He has scored one century and five half-centuries till now. Though he has the ability to play defensive shots in the middle-order, he never got a chance to play in the present XI.

Vihari is often seen sitting out in the bench due to injuries or due to the presence of other senior players in middle-order.

Hanuma Vihari is now part of India's 17-member Test squad for the fifth rescheduled Test against England to be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 1-5.

Getting the chance in the squad is a big opportunity for him to show his ability and perform well during the series. Which may results, a permanent place in the squad."He has to score hundreds to grab the chance. Scoring only 50s and 60s is not really going to help him. He is an outstanding player. But you can play for India for a long time only when you get the big runs consistently," the ex-India captain told reporters in Dubai.
