Conor McGregor is determined to make a comeback despite confirming a toe injury that led to his withdrawal from his anticipated UFC return.

McGregor, 35, is determined to bounce back stronger, but the big question remains: When will the former two-weight champ return, or will he shift focus to other ventures?

McGregor's Next Fight: Anticipating the Timing

McGregor's next fight date remains uncertain.

Recently, McGregor appeared at a Bellator fight night in Dublin, limping at times due to a toe injury. 

Despite this setback, McGregor expressed his readiness for a comeback, aiming for a fight in August or September. However, UFC President Dana White hinted at scheduling challenges, stating that McGregor's health is the priority.

If McGregor returns in August or September, UFC may need to arrange a new pay-per-view event. As for his opponent, it's likely McGregor will face off against Michael Chandler as planned.

Contemplating Retirement: What's Next for McGregor?

White has hinted that McGregor's return to the UFC may not happen, refusing to set a definite timeframe for his comeback. 

McGregor, a former two-weight champion, has had a mixed record in recent years, with three defeats in four fights since claiming the lightweight title in 2016.

Despite his fame and ventures outside of fighting, including boxing Floyd Mayweather and pursuing business interests, McGregor has expressed his intention to fight again in the UFC. 

However, the possibility of retirement remains open as he evaluates his options moving forward.

McGregor's UFC Contract: Counting Down the Fights

McGregor is eyeing his return to fulfill the remaining two fights on his current UFC contract, as confirmed by him recently. 

Talks about contract renewal have been ongoing, but with McGregor turning 36 soon, the details of any new deal remain uncertain.

Under his current contract, McGregor's activities in other combat sports are restricted, as seen with his need for UFC permission to box Mayweather. Despite this, McGregor is exploring new ventures, such as his investment in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.

However, the resolution to McGregor's UFC contract isn't expected before his next fight, whenever that may be.
