Marc Marquez, who has clinched the MotoGP world championship six times, has sealed a two-year agreement to race for Ducati Lenovo starting in 2025.
The 31-year-old rider will take the place of Enea Bastianini, an Italian racer, and join forces with reigning double world champion Francesco Bagnaia on Ducati's factory team.
Marquez, who made the switch to Gresini Racing in October following an 11-year stint with Honda, currently holds the third spot in this season's rankings.
Expressing his excitement, the Spanish rider, who became the youngest MotoGP champion in 2013, stated, "I'm thrilled to don the iconic red colors of the factory Ducati team in MotoGP next year."
